Final Major Project
For my Final Major Project I created a website for my freelance photography business. I wanted the website to present my freelance business as a photography agency. In order to achieve this I focused on a clean and seamless aesthetic that gave of the impression of professionalism. The aim of the website was to showcase my photography whiles giving an insight to what the Fittheframee brand was about as a result I included case studies of clients I had worked with, our core values, testimonials, an about us section and a blog.

This project allowed to develop web design and graphic design skills amongst many more. Whiles creating the website I took into consideration not only the aesthetics but also user functionality and experience.
HOME PAGE:
When users first enter the website I wanted the Fittheframee logo to be apparent and obvious so that they can become familiar with the brand. The logo is animated to slowly come into focus on the screen before allowing users to scroll down or use the menu bar. Although simple, its effective as it sells the idea of Fittheframee being a professional, well established business.
PROCESS IN STILLS:

ABOUT US SECTION:
We purposefully chose to include an "About Us" section on the homepage so that users will know who we are and the services we offer. I knew I could use this page to display some of my photography work before users clicked on the "our work" in the menu bar. I also wanted to show off some of my creativity whiles adhering to the clean, sleek look. When creating the copy for this page I wanted to have an inviting and welcoming tone that clearly explained who we are and what we do.

OUR VALUES SECTION:
When creating this section I wanted it to remain cohesive to the minimal aesthetic but once again show of the creativity of the brand and some of our photography work. After re-working the page a couple times we opted of a similar design to the "About Us" section by displaying the texts vertically. I also decided to opt for a white background in this section so there could be contrast between the sections allowing for the scroll to flow smoothly.

TESTIMONIALS SECTION:
After careful deliberation I decided I wanted to make the testimonial section concise so that I could include a more interactive social media section. to make the testimonial section more concise I removed unnecessary decoration like boarders and speech marks and rather than displaying all the testimonies at once I put it into a slide show. By doing this I wasted less space on the screen and created a more visually satisfying effect for the users. The social media section includes buttons that was linked to our social media pages. We also included videos of our social media and some of its content within the phone icons.

CASE STUDIES:
Each case study page had an identical layout with the name of the brand at the top followed by a hero image. We included a description of of the brand and the assets we produced for them. We then displayed the work in a gallery that allowed users to explore the content produced as much as they would like.

BLOG PAGE:
For the blog section I wanted it to make it clear that it was an extension of the Fittheframee brand and not its own entire thing. Therefore for the logo I wanted it to have a strong resemblance to the original Fittheframee logo whiles making it clear that it is for a blog. After creating some prototypes I settled on the final image that was very simple and clean aligning perfectly with the brand guidelines of Fittheframee.

FINAL:

For the Blog Page, just like the rest of the website I kept very simple and neat ensuring it was easy to navigate and explore.
